Matthew L. Crane

Matthew Loyd Crane is a Virginia real estate developer and business
consultant. He serves on several nonprofit boards in Central Virginia,
including Forthright Legal, which represents and educates citizens on
family-law and immigration matters. He also serves on the boards of
the Charlottesville Committee on Foreign Relations, the Blue Ridge
Mountains Rotary Club and Habitat for Humanity. He is a graduate of
Yale University, where he studied Philosophy and Classical Literature,
and where he played defensive tackle on the 1979 Ivy League Champion
Yale Bulldog football team. Today he is president of Arterra Design &
Construction, one of the area's leading builders of custom high-end
housing; he founded the firm in 2009. In recent years Mr. Crane has
spearheaded capital-raising ventures in Charlotteville's vibrant
biotechnology sector. He joined the advisory board of Newbridge Media
in 2020. He and his family live in Earlysville, Va. |
